Chief Flying Instructor & Chief Pilot

Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) John Newby, taught by father JAN, has been flying since 1979 with over 25,000 hours in the Log Book. John has a wealth of experience across multiple aircraft in both Flying Training and Air Charter.

Having taught hundreds of people from the local area and abroad to fly in recreational and commercial capacities during his career spanning 37 years, John has an esteemed reputation amongst flying enthusiasts, past and present students and aviation professionals alike for his high level of education and training.

Adding to his educational accolades, John is the current New South Wales Aerobatic Sportsman Champion, defending and taking out the title for the second year in a row at Narromine in September, 2016.

Office & Operations Manager, Julianne Newby, has been a key and core part of Inverell Aviation since the mid 1980’s, overseeing and co-ordinating all operations, fleet and Flying School management. Julianne is your go-to for all flying training, charter and scenic flight information, as well as facility and refuelling enquiries.

 

Air Charter, Flying Training & Aerobatic Aircraft

Inverell Aviation’s core fleet of aircraft consist of a Cessna 172, Beechcraft Baron E55 and a American Champion Super Decathlon. All are available for flying training, private hire, scenic or joyflights. Flying Training is not limited to these aircraft as Inverell Aviation are able to cross-hire various aircraft and/or train you in your aircraft.
